There are two types of Entrance Requirements to meet - Academic and Experience:

  1. Academic Requirements: check your transcript against the appropriate Academic Requirements worksheet to see if you have completed (or will complete) all requirements necessary for entrance to your program option.
  2. Experience Requirements: review Experience Requirements to check if you’ve met them.
Once you've met these requirements, you're ready to apply.

BEd online application system opens starting in December 2009.
Application Deadline: Feb 15, 2010 Includes online application and all supplemental forms (see BEd Application Checklist).
Late applications submitted after deadline until April 30, 2010 considered based on available program spaces.

lpiApplicants from a non-English language university must meet UBC English language requirements for admission to the university.

Applicants to the BEd program must complete the LPI (Language Proficiency Index), with a score of 5, or other acceptable English language competency test, and you must have 6 credits of post secondary English in literature & composition completed in a recognized institute where classes are taught in English.

french language testingApplicants for either the Immersion or Core French options in the Secondary or 12-Month Elementary programs are required to complete the French Language Appraisal For Teachers. The task deals with spoken and written competencies.
