British Columbia schools.

WKTEP
West Kootenay Teacher Education Program

WKTEP is a UBC Bachelor of Education program located in the beautiful Kootenay region of British Columbia.

NITEP
Native Indian Teacher Education Program

NITEP is a UBC Bachelor of Education program (Elementary or Secondary) that incorporates Aboriginal identity and cultural heritage while preparing those of Aboriginal ancestry to be effective educators for public, band and independent schools in BC.

UBC-O
UBC-Okanagan Teacher Education Program

UBC offers two distinct teacher education programs, one at UBC-Okanagan (UBO) and one at UBC Vancouver campus. Both programs result in eligibility for teacher certification in British Columbia.

 

Returning to the Bachelor of Education Program

The Bachelor of Education program must be completed within four–years of the original admission. If you have been absent from the program and wish to return, please read the admissions procedures for returning students.

Diplomas and Certificates
in Education

The 30-credit UBC post-degree Diploma or 15-credit Certificate in Education is designed to meet the needs of educators who wish to continue their professional education. The Faculty of Education offers the diploma or certificate in several teaching specializations.

Teacher Updating Program

The Teacher Updating program results in recertification for qualified teachers who are Canadian citizens or permanent residents who may require updating or familiarization for certification, re-certification or re-employment purposes.
