Cohorts

UBC Teacher Education program groups its teacher candidates into learning groups called “cohorts”. Cohort members participate together in courses and in practica placements assigned to particular partner schools in given geographic areas (school districts).

Secondary teacher candidates register in cohorts of approximately 36 students. Most cohorts are defined by teaching subject specialties. Full details will be available when classes begin.
