Lael Sleep (Teaching in West Vancouver School District)
I have just returned from teaching for two years in a BC Ministry accredited offshore school in Dalian, China called Dalian Maple Leaf Foreign Nationals School. I taught a Grade 5/6 class. It was great to have my own classroom upon graduating from the TACT 2006 program and to immediately put into practice what I had learned. The holidays and travel opportunities were amazing; I travelled all over China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Phillipines, Nepal and India. China is an amazing country and the people are wonderful. I recommend this experience to anyone looking for adventure in their teaching careers.
I am currently teaching in the West Vancouver school district.
