Diploma Course Registration

Preparation Checklist for Registration


2007 Summer Registration: March 19, 2007, 1:00pm



Before you register you should have:

  A Letter from the Teacher Office confirming your admission to the Diploma
     
  A UBC student number (as indicated on your letter of admission from the Teacher Education Office)
     
  Reviewed course requirements, course selections and course alternatives for the term, timetable and alternative timetable planned
     
  Approval from Faculty Advisor confirmed for courses that require approval
     
  Paid $100 non-refundable Registration Deposit to Enrollment Services (see below)
     
  Noted that you use DEDU eligibility when registering to ensure that courses are credited towards the Diploma


Registration Procedure


Go to www.students.ubc.ca, the Student Service Center and click on Registration. You will find details about course descriptions, course schedules, registration, timetables, fees, housing etc.
   
View the Student Services Center for your personal registration date.
   
Register from the Student Service Center. Go to Course Schedules and Registration (Java Version). When you locate the course in which you plan to register, register with your student number and password (your birth date in YY/MM/DD).
   
Register in no more than 7 credits in any 3-week term, July to August.
   
Click on Timetable to view and print your course schedule when your registration is complete. Note any clashed courses, shown in red. Select another section or course that does not clash. The system will not fix clashes.
   
Click on Tuition and Student Fee Inquiry for instant fee assessment. Click on My Financial Account to pay fees before logging off.
   
Check due dates for fees before logging off.
   
Update your mailing and email address if necessary.



Registration Glitches:

a) Call Records and Registration (604-822-2844) if you encounter any technical problems.
   
b) Call the Teacher Education Office (604-822-5242) if you encounter problems registering in required courses. If an elective is full, you must choose an alternate that fits your timetable.
